I am a long term resident of San Pancho and I had a mixed experience here that I think people should be aware of.

The massage sessions themselves were relaxing, and I want to acknowledge that part positively.

However, after receiving a radiofrequency facial treatment, I experienced noticeable facial fat loss. This was upsetting and not something I had been adequately warned could happen. In my opinion, more caution should have been taken — such as testing a small area first or clearly discussing risks, especially since individual reactions to these technologies can vary.

What concerned me most was the response afterward. When I tried to address what happened, I did not feel my experience was taken seriously. I received a superficial apology and instead of authentic ownership of her own actions and accountability of the incident, I received generalized explanations and information that contradicted my own outcome. That felt dismissive and invalidating. My identity, safety and trust was shaken, and here I was receiving spiritual lectures from Rose who totally minimized and denied my experience, and treated my reaction as the problem.

Procedures that affect someone’s face and appearance are not minor, and clients deserve both informed consent and meaningful support if something goes wrong.

I would encourage others to carefully verify training, credentials, and medical oversight before receiving device-based aesthetic treatments in smaller towns. In many cases, seeking providers in larger, more regulated cities may be safer. There is literally very low accountability here of local people who decide to run their own beauty related businesses.
